How to make Kadha for cold and coughs. (Medicine)

Amount of servings: 4 people/cups


Ingredients:


  • 6 cups of water

  • 2 inch cinnamon stick

  • 2 tsp coarsely grounded peppercorn

  • 2 tsp coarsely grounded cloves

  • 1 tsp carom seeds

  • 1 inch ginger grated

  • 1/2 cup mint leaves washed and torn

  • 2 tsp honey optional to serve

  • 1 fistful holy basil , tulsi (optional)

  • 3 tbs jaggery

  • 5 bay leaves

  • 4-5 green cardamom pods pounded

  • 2 tbs coriander seeds

  • 1 tsp licorice (mulethi)

  • 1/4 tsp dry ginger powder

Cooking directions:

Pour the water in a saucepan with all the ingredients listed above. Reduce heat and cover the pan until 3 cups of water is left after boiling it. Then remove from heat.

Pour into cups! Drink once in the morning, and once before you go to sleep.
